Scope
These general terms apply to hosting, server management, website management, support, monitoring, migrations, customer portal use, and additional services supplied by SiteServer.
For domain name registrations, transfers, and renewals, the SiteServer domain registration terms and the terms of the relevant registry or registrar also apply.
Different arrangements apply only when SiteServer has confirmed them in writing. Mandatory law and rights that cannot be excluded always remain applicable.
Offer and agreement
The checkout, quotation, or written confirmation states the selected service, price, payment period, start date, and relevant limitations or dependencies.
An agreement is formed after the customer accepts the order or quotation and SiteServer confirms the request or starts performance.
SiteServer may refuse a request or ask for additional checks when data is missing, the request is technically unsuitable, payment is missing, there is a misuse risk, or legal or provider rules require it.
Customer data and account
The customer provides accurate, complete, and current contact, billing, registrant, and technical data. Changes relevant to delivery, billing, or legal obligations must be reported on time.
The customer is responsible for secure use of its own accounts, passwords, authentication methods, mailboxes, FTP accounts, CMS accounts, and other access credentials.
SiteServer may take security measures when misuse, vulnerabilities, malware, spam, credential leakage, or unusual activity is suspected.
Delivery and management
SiteServer provides services with professional care and according to the selected hosting or management setup. Delivery dates, migration moments, and maintenance windows depend on available customer data, DNS, external providers, and technical circumstances.
Availability, support response times, backup policy, monitoring, and recovery arrangements apply as included in the quotation, service description, written agreement, or customer portal.
No hosting environment can be guaranteed to be fully free of outages, security risks, or external dependencies.
Use of services
The customer uses the services lawfully and prevents overload, spam, malware, phishing, infringement of third-party rights, network disruption, and other misuse.
The customer remains responsible for the content, applications, licences, plug-ins, configurations, and data placed in the hosting environment by or on behalf of the customer, unless agreed otherwise in writing.
SiteServer may take measures reasonably necessary to protect the service, infrastructure, other customers, providers, or third parties.
Payment and billing
Prices exclude VAT unless stated otherwise. Invoices are provided digitally. Payment is made through the offered payment method, invoice, or agreed written payment route.
In case of late payment, SiteServer may send reminders, suspend delivery, or limit access where reasonable and legally allowed. Already incurred provider costs, domain costs, and usage costs may remain payable.
Failed payments, reversals, and chargebacks may lead to manual review before services are activated, continued, or refunded.
Term, renewal, and cancellation
The term and renewal are stated in the checkout, quotation, or written agreement. Recurring services continue until they are validly cancelled or not renewed.
Cancellation does not always stop the service immediately. For hosting and domains, the service may remain active until the end of the paid period or registration period.
The cancellation and refund policy applies to cancellation, withdrawal rights, and refunds.
Liability
SiteServer is liable only for direct damage to the extent that the damage results from an attributable failure by SiteServer and liability may not legally be excluded or limited.
To the extent permitted by law, SiteServer is not liable for damage caused by incorrect customer data, customer application errors, external providers, DNS propagation, force majeure, actions by third parties, or use outside the agreed service.
This clause does not limit any liability that cannot be limited under mandatory law.
Changes
SiteServer may update these general terms when services, processes, provider rules, or law change. The date above shows when this page was last updated.
Material changes for active services will be announced in an appropriate way. If the law or agreement requires a right to cancel, that right remains applicable.
